EMI's Competitive Advantage: Protecting Your Fixtures

Along with every new store or remodel comes the challenge of keeping your fixtures looking fresh and new for as long as possible. Day-to-day wear and tear can quickly show, so protecting your fixtures is always important. Here are a few suggestions to make your fixtures last while staying true to the element of style in you store interiors:

1.     Bumpers

Polycarbonate bumpers are a great option to protect your store fixtures and walls. They are strong, long-lasting and can be made in a variety of colors to match the look and feel of your store. Bumpers are a great investment for any fixtures that are prone to bumps, such as checkstands, counters and walls.

2.     3mm Edge Banding

3mm edge-banding is more resistant to abuse than other, more narrow edge-banding sizes. It is great for countertop edges, door edges or for any fixtures that will be heavily used. Edge-banding will protect the wooden panels in your fixtures, making them stronger and more durable. EMI is proud to provide 3mm edge banding services in house, applied by CNC machinery, and performed by highly trained professionals who ensure a seamless, lasting application, every time.

3.     Aluminum Corner Trim

Typically in a commercial environment, corners are a highly vulnerable area of your fixture investment. EMI has developed an aluminum corner trim that has a unique, sleek design (no visible screw heads) and requires a special application process that EMI’s handcrafted professionals have mastered. This trim is installed within the wood panels to offer utmost, durable protection.

Our team of seasoned professionals is ready to help you explore all options and guide you toward a protection solution that best fits your needs.

EMI Industries Announces New Department of Energy Certification for Refrigeration Products and Seeks Energy Star® Rating

The Department of Energy (DOE) established a new regulatory requirement that manufacturers of refrigerated products must comply by March 28, 2017.

EMI Industries is proud to share that we not only met the new requirements, but also exceeded the minimum reduction of energy required by the DOE.  EMI’s new refrigeration units use less than 50% of the energy of the old units.  This translates into significant cost savings in operating expenses to our customers.  In preparation for the new requirements, EMI Industries made component and design changes to meet the new standards.  These changes do not affect the usability of any of the refrigerated products EMI Industries produces and offers to its customers, but they do decrease the energy required to operate these units.

EMI Industries has met and exceeded the DOE requirements and is now registered on the DOE’s Website stating our compliance to the new standard.  In the coming months, because of its superb energy reduction achievement, EMI Industries will be seeking an Energy Star® rating.

From designing and building the most beautiful and durable custom millwork and metal products, to offering energy-efficient refrigeration that never compromises on usability, EMI continuously strives to be the leader in the foodservice industry. With multi-regional manufacturing locations in Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Texas, we give our customers the additional peace-of-mind of knowing that we are equipped to grow alongside them, whether their growth plans are regional or national.
