C-Store Case Study

Problem - A Large Multi-Region C-Store Chain (Atlanta, GA) needed a custom millwork manufacturer to help redesign their different store type fixtures and install over 100 stores over an aggressive 12-month timeframe.

Solution - EMI demonstrated its rapid design and roll-out processes, proving its capabilities within the first 10 stores, to earn 100% of the store's overall business.

Results - Fixture design was successful. Store were installed 100% on-time, to customer's satisfaction and to budget projections. Customer reference per qualified request.

Problem - Louis Wohl (Food Service Equipment Dealer in Tampa, FL) needed a unique set of wood-metal combined custom cabinets for opening a new Midwest Upscale Café in three weeks (normal lead time is four to six weeks).

Solution - EMI designed custom cabinets using a rapid, joint design team of Engineers from wood and metal shops. EMI also used 3-dimensional, parametric software called Solid Works to design the cabinets and demonstrate them to Louis Wohl. EMI then electronically transferred the design to the CNC equipment on the shop floor, laser cut materials and began assembly. This technique allowed EMI to manufacture and deliver this order with 100% accuracy and on-time.

Results - This unique design allowed Midwest Upscale Café to be featured in a local Phoenix Restaurant magazine as well as the local Phoenix Sun Times newspaper. The pictures and story drove record-setting traffic to the restaurant during the first two weeks of operation.

Solution - EMI collaborates with several design/engineering sources to create several Wine Cellar prototypes. Supermarket approves the design and installs the Wine Cellar in top wine selling store in Buckhead (Atlanta), GA.
